Sierra Leone Mission – The work so far

Kaday Rose Kamara, (see picture) also known as Sister Rose, joined the New Testament Church of God Clapton in April 1997. Sister Rose is involved with two ministries with an African focus. The African Caribbean Re-Union and Christ Evangelical Ministry.

The chief objective of the African Caribbean Re-Union is encouraging people to visit Africa, especially, African Caribbean descendants to have a first hand knowledge of Africa instead of relying on the media.

As to the Christ Evangelical Ministry, one of its main objectives is to encourage people, especially Christians, to read the Bible considering Jesus’ warnings about the wolves in sheep’s clothing and Ephesians 4 verse 14, that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles.

Consequently in 1997 we built a school in Kathantha in Sierra Leone, dug a well and outside toilets for the community. Amongst other projects we also commenced the construction of a health clinic in January 2009. (see picture). Before construction of the health clinic, we had meetings with the Community Teachers Association (see picture). However, the construction could not be completed within the allotted timescale and further work will continue. Currently the ministry’s quarters are being used to facilitate this service. God bless you all.
